There are dark clouds looming on the horizon, even more dark than we have seen in recent months. What does one do when compromise is not an option, and we need the courage to be bold, to speak truth?

We were created in the image of Almighty God. All of our morality, our sense for right and wrong, good and evil, comes from having the image of the Creator of this universe stamped indelibly and undeniably into our being.

The fallenness of this world has also left an indelible mark, marring and obscuring His image within us. There is a tidal wave of propaganda that hits us on a daily basis, full of fear and confusion, designed to drive us to the edge. We have lost our ability to discern truth and can no longer trust “labels” to help guide us.

Our ability to comprehend truth rests in our willingness to conform to the image of Jesus Christ.

Don’t despair! Though darkness surrounds us, we can be confident we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Through the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ on the cross, we can be free of fear!

We are invited to come and accept this free gift of life that He has offered, and to walk in a personal relationship with the Living God. We are invited to ask for wisdom, grow strong in our ability to discern truth, having insight with understanding on how to navigate this world and let our light shine before all men. We are invited to once again conform to the image we were created in, and to experience the beauty of holiness of who He is. As I mentioned recently in another post, darkness does not have the ability to creep into light. Light dispels darkness.

Let’s accept the invitation!

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1
When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.” Psalm 27:8
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14
