I took a nap earlier today. As I was waking up, I remember thinking about passages in scripture that tell us when Jesus returns, every eye will see Him; and how the heavens will be rolled back like a scroll.

Traditionally I remember hearing teachings that associated the heavens with the clouds. I always pictured the clouds themselves being rolling back. I can think of groups still today who question how every eye can see a cloud roll back at the same time, so the idea always intrigued me – how will everyone see it all at the same time?

Something came in to mind in that moment just as I was waking… What if that scripture was talking about more than just clouds? There are some translations of Revelation 6:14 that say the sky vanished!

When I think on how God created a physical realm and a spiritual realm (both being very real) and that the two are visibly (or dimensionally) separated, what if that refers to the veil that is in between this world and the spiritual world?

If that’s the case, then when it says the heavens will be rolled back like a scroll, what if it means the dimensional space between the spiritual realm and the physical realm that’s actually being rolled back? I can imagine in that moment we may no longer be limited to seeing in only three dimensions. That would definitely be one way every eye will be able to see Him!

Keep the faith, my friends!

“Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen” Revelation 1:7

“The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” Revelation 6:14-17

Hoffmann, I think you may be somewhat confused on your timing. The church leaves the Earth (harpazo) before the beginning of Chapter 4 but the scripture you reference is Chapter 6. There is quite some significant time that passes between the Harpazo and the opening of the seven seals. You have to be careful when you read other translations as they are not faithful to the intent or meaning of God’s Word. Most of the others challenge the virgin birth and the Trinity among other facts. Just a word to the wise… Be careful with those gummies. JP

    1. Hi JP, thanks for the read and for sharing your thoughts. Although the timeline of events in the book of Revelation is debatable, I’m not convinced it applies in this case. Whoever is here remaining in the physical realm on that day will see this event take place, don’t you agree?

  2. No worries; if the Bible clearly states something, it IS TRUE, even if we cannot figure out the physics!🤠
