1โ€“2 minutes

I have an unfinished thought and I want to invite you to help me finish it. It has to do with this verse:

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,
but only the Father. – Matthew 24:36

Okay so we know that God is outside of time. Having created this universe – time, space, and everything in between (Psalm 102:24-27), time is not relevant to Him the same way it is to us (Psalm 90:4).

But my Weird Wednesday thought is… If not even Jesus Himself knows when it will be time for Him to return, doesn’t that imply that He (Jesus) has chosen to subject Himself to our timeline until that day comes? ๐Ÿค”

I’d love to see your comments!

    1. Iโ€™m not sure there is a right or wrong answer, just people sharing their opinions and perhaps a scripture or two ๐Ÿ˜„

  2. I disagree that God is โ€œoutside of time.โ€ This is true only in the sense that we measure time. Time is actually an attribute of God. It is immutable, eternally unchanging and perfect (complete) just as all His attributes are. Time will continue into eternity just as it existed eternally before we started measuring it.

    1. Thatโ€™s an intriguing thought, I like it and it makes sense. Can you share more on what led you this conclusion?
